1 Week break is here and its going to flash past really fast. Got alot of revision to do and I hope I have the will power to do a reasonable amount of revision. It should not be too tough if I had a much much larger attention span. Finally the hectic visitation week of CNY is over. How is this year's ang bao collection for you guys? I hope its alot more compared to previous years. This is the year of the golden pig and we decided to try our luck with the Ang Bao draw, with each of us chipping in $10. We got scb's Da Jie who is a tigeress to buy the prosperity pack(s). Last stop should be my place this Saturday, will be inviting the gang over for a 2 in 1. They can Bai Nian and smash a cake in my face at the same time...haha yes guys I know I had it coming and all I have to say is bring it on!! Cake in the face is boring yeah!?!
Special thanks goes out to scb and family for having us over at their chalet and home for dinner as well as to Msh and family for having us over to enjoy the curry.
Just want to wish scb, msh, shenny and those going for Job Interviews all the best!
Parting words: Information is power, mis-use it and you'll be powerless.
Some pics from last week...
Chu-er: Downtown East (Pasir Ris)Yes I was late for this and was greeted with lotsa food although I already had dinner at Guang's place. Heng heng I managed to eat finish the food or else I sure get scolded. Lost at gambling here and I was nick-named Shy, Honest and Cute...i'm 24 liao leh!!!
Chu-san: Msh's Home (Tampines)
Hmmm...did not have ample sleep since both milo and I stayed over at the chalet the night before. Don't worry msh we bathed before coming...but still lost at gambling again...WHY!!!! Oh had curry with bread, Very Nice!
Chu-liu: River Hong Bao (Esplanade)I think this was on Friday...yes it was my memory is failing me. Wasn't as happening as last year and it smelled like a wet market around the foodstalls. The pic above was actually some small time actor hired to be the "Cai Shen" or God of Fortune. People were queuing up inside his tent waiting for their turn to be "blessed" by the God of Fortune. His tent was so damn humid and warm I'd rather not queue up!
Chu-qi: Scb's Home (Simei) The wonderful steamboat dinner at scb's house, its the 2nd year running already and its kind of nostalgic looking back to last year. Had some pretty interesting dishes this year as well and freeuns did not eat much "bao bei" this year...why ah?

Chu-qi: Scb's room (Simei)
This is scb's room, it has a new outlook with pink walls, white celling, new furniture and the sofabed which we are sitting on is damn comfy. Ahem...did I mention that milo and I helped to paint and piece the furniture together?

Looking through the past entries on this blog made me realise 1 thing. Its lacking in insightful posts, posts that encompasses my personal views on issues that the average person deals with in life. Things I have to deal with. Mostly its just what has been happenining day in day out. I have no qualms about being mainstream but somehow it leaves a sense of dissatisfaction that my blog appears almost bimbo/himbo like...even xiaxue whom some may deem bimbo actually tackles personal attacks on her with such zest. No doubts her online persona and Girls out Loud performance are on the extreme ends of the bimbo spectrum but still she is a full time blogger that makes $ from doing that and it lead to her being a "celebrity". So maybe I should do future entries in this format. 1st part will contain the all to familiar outings and such and the 2nd part will be more or less a peek into my cerebral abyss.
Would like to Wish my readers a Happy and Prosperous New Year. So its a little late but CNY stretches for 15 days and its the year of the golden pig. I am born in the year of the pig and thus am 24 years old this year. The CNY holidays has been damn busy and tiring for me. Lots of visiting this year which of course equals to a nice sum collected from "ang baos" CNY starts on a Sunday and the public holiday lasted till Tuesday, 3 days of holidays is shiok but it just means that I have been running up and down Singapore for 3 days. Places visited during the 3 days = Tanah Merah, Telok Kurau, 6th Ave, Hillview, Sengkang, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Simei this Saturday. Every year CNY loses its festive atmosphere, every year it feels more and more like a chore to me. I'm so looking forward to the day when I can actually look forward to CNY holidays as a period to actually do what I want to do, travel, slack at home or even go to the great outdoors. Visiting will be on the last thing on my mind. Haha I guess the one thing I'll miss is the gambling la. Damn it this year has dealt me a losing streak no matter what form of gambling I partake or where I play them. Decided to take a self declared off from school yesterday. Watched Epic Movie at The Cathay. For those of you who haven't watched the movie all I can say "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" Its such an epic movie that if you missed it you may regret it. Headed down to Timbre for drinks and of course to catch the performance of E.I.C after supper at macs after the movie. So glad they played Snow Patrol's Run!
A little while back I did a top 10 things you did not know about me list and I have decided to touch on one of them. Its something that I feel has been going on for awhile and I think that feeling has overstayed its welcome. I would like to emphasize the fact that I don't have high expectations of people close to me. The closer to me the less I expect. People whom I have told this fact to actually seem pretty puzzled as to why it works the other way around for me. Usually people tend to have higher expectations of those close to them and lower expectations from people not so close to them. Imagine this analogy if you will...A Ballon filled with the right amount of air will appear firm/bouncy and safe from the fact that it won't just burst. I am like a Ballon (body shape as well). I prefer to have lesser amount of air in me because 1stly if there was a pressure exerting itself on the exterior, there will be some lee way for the ballon to expand in another area but if the ballon is filled with too much air, you'll start to see the rubber stretch and the colour appears thinner continue blowing in more air and it will burst, add too much pressure on the exterior and it will "pop" as well. Air inside the ballon relates to the level of expectation I allow myself to entrust on someone. More air more expectations. The exterior pressure relates to the times when you get let down and disappointed by the people around you. So if I was to have more expectations of others I would be a really big, stretched out ballon and 1 time of disappointment will forever damage but if I was just like a flail ballon, I would not burst so easily. The downside to all this is I may appear nonchalent, uncaring or even insensitive to people but you only get what you give right? I don't believe in a 1 sided relationship, what is the point of pouring everything in only to risk getting "popped" but unfortunately the human emotions don't work in an ideal way. So the best way I protect myself is to expect little and in return give little in terms of emotions. Many times I'm glad I have this practice because I have been proven time and time again that the people closest to you are the ones that will screw you over whether they intend or not. Not too mention I get extremely annoyed when people expect more from me than what I expect from them...fortunately when I get high on alcohol I feel sleepy and not loud and obnoxious if not I'd vomit out everything they did in the past to screw me and weigh it infront of their faces which will definately be the sucker punch to end the friendship but like I said its a good thing I keep such things to myself very well and there is no way in heaven and hell that the wrong-doers will ever hear it from me. I treasure relationships thats why I do what I have to do cause I don't think I'd be able to recover once I burst.
Sadly my actions don't reflect what I feel but thats is a risk I am willing to take, I rather be misunderstood than be hurt beyond redemption...
Have a great day guys!
With Valentine's Day over, its good to see the streets back to normal again. Makes me wonder for all those couples out there what is V-day to them? Is it a day where you treat each other extra nice? Whats the point? Is it a day where presents and gifts can make up for everything that has happened between the previous 14th of Feb to the current 14th of Feb? No doubt the only wonderful thing about V-day is the commercialisation of few days before and on the 14th of Feb itself. I think its genius how gift and flower shops cash in on this day. Well to each his own, I think people need to believe that there are days that are extra special to move out of the monotonous routine of dating.
Watched 1 particular episode of Ghost Whisperer and there was this conversation between the lead actress JLH and her friend Camryn Manheim. So happened that JLH's character is celebrating her anniversary with her husband and she thought that her husband had forgotten about the whole thing and arranged to play poker with his friends on that night. She was rather upset but did not want anyone to hint to him or remind him because she wanted him to remember on his own as it would seem genuine. Well she was talking about this to Camryn's character and she shared something which really touched me on many levels. By the way Camryn's character is a widow with a son. She proceeded on to say how she had gone through the same thing when her husband was alive, he would forget their anniversary and she would get all upset and bottle it up inside of her. So after a few years, she had enough and decided to tell her husband off "Why can't you just remember it just 1 time? Its just 1 day, is that really hard to remember?" The husband replied "Honey! Its just one day. How can it compare to being married to you every single day of my life?"...this is what I think really matters instead of having 1 special day for anniversaries or Valentine's day for that matter.
Yup so its another V-day not being attached, total count 24 V-days already. Mum asked me to bring back a girl next V-day!!!...Haha wait long long mum! Went to MOS with milo and scb + friend yesterday on V-day. Surprise to see the place packed with many youngsters. Not even school holiday. Yesterday was a rather good outing at MOS, played top40s at Main Arena around 1+am but it only lasted for 30mins but it made the whole experience worthwhile. RnB also improved a great deal compared to the last time I was there. Maybe because last time too sucky so I did not bother to stay till late. Haha and as usual when about to leave they will play my favourite songs. Lost count how many times it has happened to me already.

Okay I'm now in CPE183 Engineers and Society class, its going to be 2hrs of ethics lesson. Haha am I someone with no ethics? Well this class teaches me everything that I already know but i'm not saying that I will score an A grade for this subject because I haven't been attending classes about 50% of the time. I don't even know if there is going to be any coursework component for this subject. The peeps behind me might be wondering what the hell i'm doing blogging during class. I'm typing this on notepad by the way, blogger on wireless can be rather unstable.
Nothing much happened except I almost lost my laptop today. I usually carry my lappy in my duffel bag but today I decided to carry it by hand. Went to Can A with jx to have a drink and I left my duffel on the table and my lappy on the seat beside me. Time for class and I grabbed my bag and made my way to class. Lucky I realised my bag was really light and my arms are free to swing around!!!! I was about 50m from where I left my lappy and rushed back to where we were seating. Damn it! Its the end of classes and so many people were flooding the walkway that I had to "tailgate" some girls who were really "gelek gelek"...bitches...accidentally bumped into one of them and they still continued sashaying. Heng heng when I got there my lappy was still on the seat!
Haha from the corner of my eye I can see someone looking over my shoulder. Celebrated freeuns's birthday last Sat although his actual birthday is next Sat but it happens to be the eve of Chinese New Year so got to bring it forward. Had dinner at Fish and Co glasshouse outlet. Dinner was normal and civil nothing much going just everyone catching up. Then came the cake cutting. The staff of Fish and Co brought the cake out and "made" freeuns stand on the chair and they gave him a lit sparkler. Haha while we sang the song freeuns was waving the sparkler around happily and started waving to everyone in the restaurant although I think they just looked at him with a duhring face. Damn funny! I think he knew it was his doom!! We have a usual practice of shoving a candel deep into the cake and he had to remove it with his teeth. Haha we all know what happends when the birthday boy/girl attempts that. This year I had the honor to be the one sending his face through the cake! Hahaha...I pressed my entire body weight onto the back of his head that the table almost tipped over! What happen after that was the usual cleaning up of the mess. Headed down to The Clinic after that to try out new concept pubbing. As the name suggests, the concept is a medical setup. Nothing over the top but the cocktails are served in IV drips and Syringes. $50 nett per cocktail. Decided to go leave for Cafe Iguana for their famed giant frozen margaritas at 50% off after midnight. All I can say it is very very worth it!
Had dinner with my ex-campmates for dinner at Rice Table International Building. The expected turnout ended up much lesser but we still had fun. Nowadays cannot eat buffect already, waste of money as I can't eat that much at one go. I think the older one gets, the lousier the appetite. Walked down to Coffee Bean a forum to chill and chat and witness a massive tranny party, I think it was one of their birthday. 2 of them came into Coffee Bean to buy a whole cake and attracted stares from the customers. One of them even cackled "What are you staring at?" I don't think they were referring to us I hope. Goodbye Eugene, Haran and Jiawei see you guys real soon again.
Headed down to Chinatown to soak in the atmosphere of pre Chinese New Year shopping. It was very crowded eventhough its still a week+ to CNY, imagine the crowd as the day approaches. Was accompanied by freeuns, rong mei, milo, linda and scb. All of us ended up buying mochis except milo. In the end it was the jelly that was given free that tasted better. My dad whacked all the jellies and "ordered" me to go get somemore...(=__=")
CNY is this Sunday and its going to be a busy week leading up to Sunday and many places to visit...boy am I going to be shacked!

Whats up with people dropping left and right with sickness these days? Haha you guys better get well soon man or else I'm going to get real bored. Sigh badminton today got cancelled last minute, no one to play with me. Lucky not yet leave the house or else I would have literally dragged myself out of bed and then back home into the bed again!
Congrats to the Lions for winning 2-1 against the Thais in the 1st leg of their Asean Championship, hope they do well in the 2nd leg in Thailand this Sunday. Man Utd also whacked Watford 4-0! Haa its a great day for soccer.
I've decided to compile a top 10 list of things about me that not everyone knows. Its just for fun and probably help the people who know me personally to know me better! In no apparent order here goes 10 Things You Didn't Know About Me!
01. I breathe through my mouth instead of my nose.
- I have allergic rhinitis and always suffer from a block nose
02. I have sensitive nipples.
- Sensitive to touch and weather...but in a sensational way hahaha
03. I have been keeping my goatee for 10 months already.
- Decide to have a change in appearance, should be experimental before going back army
04. Used to be a Blackburn fan when then won the EPL in 1995.
- Haha jump ship when Man Utd won the following season but has stuck with them for 10 years already
05. Owns 6 Man Utd Kits, 1 Blackburn Kit & 3 Singapore National Team Kits.
- Before the EPL became a hit in Singapore, the Malaysia cup was the only supplement for soccer fans.
06. Buried $ under a tree when I was younger.
- Was a rather active kid, always going down to the park to play and therefore found carrying coins a hassel. Needless to say the $ was gone when I tried digging it up!
07. 1st Handphone was a Nokia 3210.
- Cheapest I could afford after 'O' Levels while working during 6 month break. So at 17 year owned my 1st phone and now at 24 years I'm using my 5th phone.
08. Sentimental.
- Keep lotsa junk that brings me back to different moments in the past. Spring cleaning has never been "easier"!

10. I don't have high expectations of friends.
- Defense mechanism to protect myself from being disappointed by friends. Use to see the potential in a person no matter the circumstances but have been proven time and time again that you can't really rely on anyone. I am on my own and people around come and go as they see fit.
