Woohoo...i'm back after so long! Lots to update as you can see from the number of tagged topics lining the top. Let me start in decending order from the latests happenings.
1stly congrats to Man Utd for beating Everton 3-0 early this morning. This heaped the pressure onto Chelsea who also beat Bolton 1-0. A 3 point gap to take into the 2nd half of the season is better to be trailing. The Man Utd vs Chelsea game last weekend could have gone either way but I guess a draw was fair enough and I think the fact that Man Utd scored 1st was kind of lucky as they did not have to play catchup. Hope this season will see the EPL title back in the trophy room at Old Trafford.
Yesterday marked the end of my exams for 06/07 semester 1. Mixed feeling really, but then again i've always been one to look forward to the end of the exams but once that is achieved, I feel indifferent. This semester proved different in alot of ways. 1stly I not only need to pass all my subjects but I need to get a C+ for all of them in order to clear my "status". A D grade is not enough. I also spent the least time in school this semester and its kinda contradicting my situation of obtaining a C+ for each grade but its all over now and whats left to be seen is the grades in 3 weeks time. My overall feeling about the exams this time round is rather good. Might have scored in a few papers but fell short at the last moment but a C+ should be no problem. Keeping fingers crossed.
Wasted no time after the exams to have fun! Last paper finished at 11am and I reached home at 12+pm to rest and change before heading out to Orchard to watch "Happy Feet"! Its a feel good show and the penguins are very endearing...haha love the latino penguins. Shan't reveal anything about the show but its a 4/5 star show. After "Happy Feet", rushed down to Cine from Lido to meet Rong Mei and JX for another round of Movie. This time its "Flag of out Fathers", its a story surrounding the American soldiers at the battle of Iwo Jima. Where the American Flag was raised on Mount Suribachi by 6 soldiers and a photograph was taken of that scene and eventually made its way to print in the American newspapers. That inspired the Americans back home that the War could be won. But its the struggle of the heroes in the photograph to come to terms that while they are being hailed as heroes, the real ones are dead or dying in the on-going war while they tour America to raise funds through convincing people to buy war bonds. 3.5/5 show...love war shows but there are better ones out there since this show tries to incorporate action and drama. Hung out abit after the show while waiting to meet Lionel. We were seating on the bench outside Taka along the Orchard road when we heard a bang directly behind us. Turned around and saw a car bang into this Indian family. Did not really see it happen but turned around to see a woman and her 2 crying kids on the road. Nothing serious as the woman got up and walked to the side of the road to inspect any injuries. The driver(female) stopped her car and got out to check only to be shouted at by the Indian guy who escaped the accident. Its quite amazing as it attracted quite a large crowd of onlookers. But the best part was the Indian family obviously not locals(from the accent of the guy) was jay walking through orchard road at 10pm...and though road accidents at orchard is not very common it happened...probably if they were locals they might have been more knowledgeable in how to jay walk and the Indian guy was yelling at the driver how she didn't know how to drive. Hahaha the look on the driver's face was priceless cos she did nothing wrong. Anyway was late already so rushed down to Clarke Quay to meet Lionel to go MOS. Ladies Night and Lionel was a member and so am I, just that not yet get my card. Well he needed to activate his card by 30th Nov so we kinda planned to go immediately after my exams way in advance. Nothing much to say at MOS. Music wasn't my cuppa tea as usual but the VIP perks are pretty cool and the girls there are always nice to look at haha.
Attended my cousin's wedding over the weekend. Sunday was tea ceremony and I was the car door boy hehe got a nice hongbao just opening the car door for them. Of course I made myself useful in other areas but helping to setup the buffet table, food and such. Monday was the wedding dinner held at Marina Mandarin. Feel so happy for the bride and groom. By the way my cousin is the groom and the next day is my exam (-_-") and apparently I already felt the pressure from the relatives that my turn will be next...omg!!!
